Attendees are invited to dust off their festive gowns, tuxedos and dancing shoes, wear their favorite festive apparel, put on their masks and enjoy an evening of musical variety, dancing and delicious food and drink. Masks are optional but encouraged. The audience will be transported to the streets of Old Vienna in New Braunfels with street musicians and the frivolity of a masquerade ball with festive music with state-of the-art light and sound. Featured acts include concertina, classical guitar, magic, a flautist, tap dancers and street break dancers.  The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a “welcome to the ball” reception featuring cocktails, wine, special beer and nonalcoholic beverages along with hors d’oeuvres.  After strolling the promenade and enjoying street musicians and dancing, attendees will graduate into a station dinner that will delight their taste buds and conclude with delectable desserts. Celebration and dancing with all of the frivolity of a masquerade ball will continue all evening and conclude with a bubbly New Year’s Eve toast at Midnight. The tone for this special masquerade ball of the region will be one of festive holiday excitement and warm hospitality. The event is family friendly and parents are invited to bring their children.

The event is the fourth collaboration between San Antonio companies, Texas Hill Country Opera & Arts and Texas Light Opera. Arden Dorn, Founder of Texas Hill Country Opera & Arts, is excited to team again up with Nicole Erwin, Executive Director of Texas Light Opera and The Overtime Theater. Nicole will be a featured performer and sing in the chorus alongside several members of the San Antonio Symphony Mastersingers.
